WHEREAS, high-dense urban areas, known as cities, have an unfair electoral advantage in passing laws and deciding social and environmental policy, and

WHEREAS, this electoral advantage disenfranchises rural landowners who have no say in such policy and strips them of their constitutionally protected freedoms, their dignity and their property rights. In far too many cases, rural landowners are deprived of their rights of due process and just compensation, as required under the 5th Amendment, and

WHEREAS, this electoral advantage allows cities to elect politicians that pass laws and dictate policy that ONLY affects rural landowners but leaves city folk virtually un-scathed. The Endangered Species Act (ESA) and the Clean Water Restoration Act (CWRA) are just two examples of hundreds of laws that only affect rural landowners, while urban dwellers get off scot-free, and

WHEREAS, rural landowners have come together to demonstrate just how important rural land is to the city's existence and to communicate to them that our disenfranchisement shall not stand, and

WHEREAS, rural landowners have come together in the spirit of solidarity to stage a silent protest against the tyranny of the majority (cities) and their government counterparts that have sold rural landowners and this country, literally down the river.

NOW THEREFORE, we the rural landowners of America, hereby declare the week of June 30th through July 6th, 2008 (including July 4th, "Independence Day") and each 4th of July week each year thereafter, as a declaration of rural independence.

WE RESOLVE that starting at 12:01 AM, Monday, June 30th, 2008 and ending at midnight July 6th, 2008, rural landowners, all across America, unite in the following actions, or in actions, as the case may be:

1. We shall not buy anything during the said period and shall stock up in advance to sustain ourselves.

2. We shall not deliver any product for said period.

3. We shall lay off all employees for said period.

4. We shall pay no taxes during said period.

5. We shall overwhelm local newspapers by writing huge numbers of guest editorials and letters to the editor during this week.

6. We shall establish small committees to organize 4th of July celebrations with speakers that will cover the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, freedom, liberty and property rights, for adults and children.

7. During the week, we will assemble a large contingent of rural landowners and picket, with signs, county council persons or commissioners' offices and county planning offices. Alert the news media that picketing is going to take place.

8. We will make every effort to block all rural roads such that only emergency vehicles shall be allowed to pass for the benefit of rural landowners. We will also communicate this Declaration to other rural landowners.

9. We further, at our sole option, agree to sign the "Citizen Petition for Redress of Grievances" and the "Rural Landowners' Pledge" and send copies to all local, state and federal politicians in our jurisdiction.

WE FURTHER RESOLVE to communicate by any means, (petition, e-mail, letter, fax or phone) our demands to local, state and the federal government, in no uncertain terms, to immediately implement the following 20 demands:

1. Repeal the Endangered Species Act. Immediately transfer all UN Biospheres back to U. S. sovereignty and cease and desist the implementation of all Wildland protection projects. These laws only affect rural landowners, in violation of the 5th Amendment, without due process and without just compensation, and further violate the equal protection clause of the U. S. Constitution.

2. Stop government from buying up any more private land with our tax dollars for environmental reasons, or wildlife conservation and commence selling off government land to private citizens, but not to large corporations, or businesses, or foreign owners.

3. Cease and desist passing any more environmental legislation. Start unraveling UN Agenda 21 driven Smart Growth and Sustainable Development ordinances and regional planning that raises housing prices to the point that only the rich can afford detached single-family homes.

4. Denounce the UN promoted, man-caused global warming for what it is, an unmitigated farce.

5. Put the military on our borders and stop illegal aliens from crossing into the U. S. by all means, including force.

6. Make it a felony to be in the United States illegally, punishable by fines, imprisonment and deportation. Remove the anchor baby provision of the 14th Amendment.

7. Commence powerful enforcement against employers who employ or exploit illegal aliens. Vigorously enforce current law.

8. Nationalize all foreign ownership of U. S. businesses, or quasi-government operations, like ports, utilities, or other infrastructure, such as toll roads and open them up to bid by U. S. businesses and American private citizens, only.

9. Commence operation "Oil Independence" and open up ANWR and other areas of known oil reserves, for oil exploration and production, remove all environmental impediments (except common sense ones) to energy production and refinery construction. Promote economical alternative energy sources. Move America, once and for all, to true energy independence.

10. Do not ratify the Law of the Sea Treaty, as it usurps American sovereignty.

11. Do not pass the revised Clean Water Restoration Act (CWRA) and return jurisdiction of the Army Corp of Engineers to only navigable waters. The proposed CWRA legislation is one of the largest government land grabs in the history of America and must not pass.

12. Commence pulling the U. S. out of the United Nations and move the UN off of American soil. Cease and desist all one-world-order proposals and initiatives, starting with the North American Union.

13. Begin the long process of reviewing all public school textbooks for historical inaccuracies, errors, propaganda, hype, distortions, political or religious biases and outright lies, then revise them. We must stop the brainwashing and indoctrination of our K-12 and college-age children. Start conducting yearly classes on the Declaration of Independence and the U. S. Constitution from 4th grade on up through high school, each being the very foundation of our freedom.

14. Start demanding that the U. S. Congress and the U. S. Supreme Court use the U. S. Constitution as its only arbiter and source, as the Supreme Law of the Land, in passing legislation or adjudicating law and legislation, respectively.

15. Demand that all branches of the U. S. military be strengthened in terms of men, materials and money such that the military can prosecute multiple war fronts. Further, convey to the international community that any government that harbors terrorists and will not capture and prosecute them, will be dealt with by sanctions or harsh militarily action.

16. Start the dismantling of ALL entitlement and welfare programs and corporate subsidies, with a 10-year phase-out for each program.

17. Return health care to the private sector and make sure that the only government involvement in health care would be in the form of a high-deductible, umbrella-type coverage. ($5,000 minimum)

18. Immediately repeal the U. S. Dept. of Agriculture's National Animal Index System (NAIS).

19. Start disbanding unneeded government bureaucracies, starting with the Department of Education.

20. Demand that all government agents, local, state or federal, strictly adhere to all state and federal trespass laws by providing written notice before inspecting an owner's property for any reason, or obtaining legal warrants, if probable cause can be determined by a judge, of a criminal act.
